Tacos Por Favor is known for fresh ingredients and a massive menu. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this cozy, unpretentious Mexican eatery. From huevos rancheros to mole to birria (spicy stew made with goat meat) to tacos to dishes like chicken diablo — expect a filling meal for around $5-$12. Regulars swear by their breakfast burritos, mahi-mahi tacos and chilaquiles.
Tacos Por Favor is a family-owned and operated restaurant with multiple Los Angeles locations. Atilano Sanchez has made Tacos Por Favor a lovable Westside staple since the 1980’s. Sanchez’s son, Hector, has worked alongside his father since he was young and plans to continue to share their Puebloan recipes with Santa Monica. This petite storefront has a canary yellow dining room which is lined with decorative sombreros, baskets, and beer signs— creating an inviting and open atmosphere.
My grandparents are from Puebla and they passed down their recipes to the family. The secret is not to change the recipe at all. Just keep it like it always has been.
